Dr. Marie Teilhard
Senior Counsel

Marie Teilhard has a thirty-year management background within private and public sectors. She has served as consultant to over 25 nonprofit arts, healthcare, and social service organizations in Fundraising, Strategic Planning, Board Development, and Fiscal Management. She uses her corporate and nonprofit background to provide well-rounded counsel that strengthens initiatives targeted to advance the priorities of organizations and potential funders.

Marie has an expansive background in working with Chicago area nonprofits, foundations, and corporations in the areas of corporate/social responsibility and stewardship. Uniquely leveraging her business background, Marie’s expertise lies in facilitating meaningful exchange between nonprofit and business leaders to clarify organizational and programmatic goals and outcomes, particularly relating to determining cross-functional metrics and evaluating administrative and programmatic ROI for organizations. She possesses a particular talent for articulating the strategic benefits of nonprofit partnership in a manner that aligns with the priorities and pace of corporate and foundation grant-making initiatives.

Marie has a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from University of Chicago and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Fine Arts, with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management, from Carnegie Mellon University. She also has a Master’s and a Doctor of Arts degree in Philosophy & Religion from Harrison Middleton University. Marie formerly worked as a Global Strategic Planning Manager at Apple Computer, Inc., and currently works with nonprofit organizations across the United States in all aspects of Strategic Planning, Fundraising, and Capacity Assessment/Development. Marie joined Alexander Ross Group in 2012.
